You get to dance freely
while I curve my body
forward,
not knocking into things,
not talking in bold and italics
underlined;
revised and stamped for
approval to leave my lips.

I stand out enough.
I can’t be the misplaced font
on that white page.
I have to leave enough

space

so you don’t feel threatened.
