Founded in 1967, Stillpoint Literary Magazine publishes in print every spring and online on a regular basis. The magazine is a strong voice in the literary and artistic communities of Athens, Georgia.
We seek to showcase the best of emerging and established writers and artists. The quenching, the visceral, the offbeat.
Annie Ho – Senior Editor
Annie is a fourth-year from Grayson, GA majoring in Women’s Studies / Public Health & Global Health. She has previously been published in 10 Ideas for Healthcare (2016).
Max Rabb – Junior Editor
Max is a third year from Atlanta, GA. He is majoring in English and History. He’s a local poet.
Ethan Crane – Junior Editor
Ethan is a third year linguistics and classics major. He grew up in Athens, GA and spends his time learning new languages.
Sherry Luo – Design Editor
Sherry is a second-year majoring in Genetics and English and is from Johns Creek, GA. Her work has been featured in Atlanta Magazine, Figroot Press, and The Madras Mag and is forthcoming in Mandala Journal and The Shanghai Literary Review. She has a forthcoming chapbook from The Lune (2017). Sherry is scared of small birds and hexagons.
Victoria Pekala – Submissions Editor
Victoria is a fourth-year from Manitowoc, WI majoring in English and Economics and minoring in Spanish.
Olivia Babuka-Black – External Affairs
Olivia Babuka Black is a second year from Atlanta, GA majoring in both Women’s Studies and Theater and minoring in Comparative Literature. She is currently trying to get into AcroYoga but she’s still not entirely sure what it is.
Alec Sheldon – Internal Affairs
Alexander Sheldon is a fourth year English major from Roswell, GA.
Ben Scott is a third year English and Comparative Literature major who poses with every mannequin he sees and is obsessed with colorful socks.
D’Ariel Myrick is a third year at the University of Georgia. Also, she has written for Study Breaks, an online college magazine, and is apart of Stillpoint, a UGA literary magazine. As an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing, she enjoys practicing her craft. She loves reading and writing across several genres, but specifically, her current niche is creative nonfiction and science fiction. D’Ariel understands the workings of online publications from a writer’s perspective and appreciates the elements of editing and publishing works that make a writer’s work even more amazing. She hopes to continue writing and be published across multiple magazines.
